This is a wonderful kit, seriously, if you don't have it get it! She was kind enough to pass out a few freebies on her facebook page to a few people she would pick out of those that had commented. I am sooo very thankful for this freebie as it really is an amazing kit!

I'm Back

Yes, I have been away for nearly a year but I'm back once again and do not plan on leaving any of you!

While I was gone we purchased a new home for our family:

We had been trying to figure out a way to do this for a long time and in April we had our chance and we took it! It's been a crazy ride since then, This home was a foreclosure and needed a lot of love. Here are the photos from when we first got it.

So far we have done quite a bit of work but this summer we plan on doing a lot more and when that work is completed I will gladly share the photos from that.
We also had a lot going on in July, I got a second job and we celebrated my oldest son's 4th birthday in the new house despite the fact we didn't have anything in it really. With the second job I hardly was home and it was worst these last 2 months. So December 13th was my last day on the job for one of them, I am now only working 2 days a week and hope to scrap a lot more than i have been.
My boys needed me home more and i needed to be out of the house less so since i'll still be making the same amount I went with it.
If you are a designer and need some ct help just let me know. I hope to start designing again here in the next few months.

Two New layouts to share and a great freebie!

So between all of the chaos at work while my boss was away playing in Las Vegas for 4 days, the "normal" chaos at my house along with the crazy schedule's I finally found some time to create 2 layouts.. well one layout and one desk-topper for March.

I used an amazing kit by InspiredbyDominic Designs called 'Special'

You can get this kit at her store with Scrapity-Doo-Dah.

This kit is Awesome! I love the colors and the artsy style to it. It allows you to use this kit for all kinds of events, seasons, themes and much more.

On a personal note: I am still setting up my computer and getting things set up but as you can see from my march desktopper I hope to create a few things in the month ahead.

I'll be celebrating the 1st birthday for my youngest little boy, Dawson. We aren't sure what the theme will be or the colors but once i have that figured out you'll most likely see bits and pieces of things such as invites and such. I would like to have it someplace that is kid friendly and especially baby friendly.. and out of the rain.

As for now though I'll leave you with a little goodie. Hopefully i'll find the time to post again tomorrow so keep an eye out!

Long time and lots to tell you about!

I know it has been an exceptionally long time since I have been on here and posted a single thing but there has been lots going on. As I last told you all, I got my alcohol server permit. I am still a cook at the VFW near me and I have been waiting tables on Saturday while bingo is going on as well as when needed for Sunday nights. Later this month I will be getting to bartend. My little man is now 10 months and my big boy is almost 4 (this July) No plans in the foreseeable near future for any new additions to our family. We hope that by this time next year we are in a different home than we are in now, one with more room for the kids to run and play. Hubby got a promotion and is now the head bartender at the sushi place where he works. Sadly my Dell computer broke the other day so I now have a new Samsung that I am setting up. I am still currently waiting for photoshop cs4 or cs5 to be installed on it. I now have a Wacom Bamboo pad that I have never worked with, I just got it so I will be trying to set it up and play with it soon. I hope to have a lot of new things in store for you here very, very soon. For all of you who have the Hallmark Card program I will be sharing some of the cards that I have made with it.

If there is anything that you would like to see specifically from me please, please, please don't hesitate to let me know. Just comment on the post or send me an email, I would truly love to hear from all of you.

Sorry ladies and gents that I've been away a lot lately. I have my alcohol service permit now and have been training on my own time a the bar where I work as a cook. Hubby has been working a lot and we have had to get my oldest evaluated for some learning/speach/attention things. They want him back to do further testing sometime next week or after that. I'll let you know more after that.
As for my grandfather, he chose to not get chemo done after all. He decided for him being sick and the other bad things that come with chemo wasn't worth the extra 5% cure rate he would recieve. But he's doing great so far.
We will be going to the pumpkin patch here tomorrow after work! Can't wait and hope it doesnt rain.it will be a little while before you see anything new from me but i hope to get you lovely people some awesome holiday gifts and special treats for the season. so i hope to see you all around before too, life just has been so busy!

Hi there everyone.. I have an update for you all... My grandfather's surgery went fine and he's doing much better. They got all of the cancer from what they can tell but they are suggesting that he goes ahead with chemo just to be sure... We will find out more about that later tonight. Please keep him in your thoughts...

The kids are growing fast and i have quite a few photos that i'll be posting and scrapping before long. Dawson turns 6 months on monday the 27th!!! WOW boy does time fly! James is 3 and is starting to get a little excited over candy day as he calls it (Halloween). We have to see if he costume we got last year for him for this year will fit or if we need to get a new one for him.

Start keeping an eye out for freebies on my blog for the upcoming holidays.. I'll be doing some cards and gift tags as well as a few other things...

Ok now onto a few other things.

My adorable oldest son was playing at my mom's and found his uncles safety glasses and decided to put them on, just look at this cute photo i took!

We had his birthday last month just after his actual birthday and here are some photos of the grand affair! lol

Daddy sat with him when we sang happy birthday but he was crying because he wanted to play with the toy on his cake..

Finally he got to play with the toy on his cake! Yep that's Thomas!!!

After cake we did presents and here he was handing daddy a few toys and practically drooling trying to get daddy to open them for him. Of course daddy did so happily!

I can't believe my little boy is 3! I can remember so much about him being born and how amazing it was. The best feeling of all was finally holding him after waiting for so long.

Here is another photo of my 3 year old, laying on the walk way at my moms watching her giant African Spur-Thigh Tortoise. He loves that thing. If you missed it before i spoke about here in another blog post a while back, here is where you can find that post.

We found out today that my last grandpa has cancer. It's a small tumor on his upper lobe of one of his lungs which should be easily removed. He has an abnormality to one of his lymph nodes on that side (the one under the arm) and they may need to remove that and do chemo just to be on the safe side. My mom isn't handling it well at all, mostly because it's her last living parent. Because she is in such a bad mood she decided tonight she would take it out on the rest of us and pretend like we aren't effected by this new development in life so the kids and i are back at our house, still without a car. It's been in the shop for nearly 2 months now but we should be getting it back tomorrow, now i just need to find a way to work tomorrow. Yep, i have a job now. Only part time but that is much better than no job at all. I'm a cook up at the local VFW and i rather enjoy it there.
Yes, I am worried about my grandpa but i know personally that you can't change what it is and whatever the outcome may be will be what it is. Some of you might know that I had surgery for a type of skin cancer at age 19. I'm now 24 and happy (for the most part, working everyday to make life better and easier) and healthy. I know just how scary it can be to be told that you need surgery and it's for cancer. Something that i hope neither of my kids will have to endure and something that I hope i never have to deal with again. But I also dont think its right to take out your anger on people that have only been helping and making life easier on you as much as they can.
I would like to start getting a few designers together to work on a cancer charity kit. Based on this new development of lung cancer in my family i would like to focus on that form of cancer. it's been a while!

yep lots have been going on in my life and to list a few for those interested we went to the beach with my in-laws and the cousins, heres a gander at some of the photos:

sadly the day before we left on this trip we had to put our oldest dog down. He had started snapping and growling at the kids and we couldnt

keep him confined to the yard he kept breaking out.

This is my hubby saying good-bye to his puppy that we have both loved so much.

So i'm posting this later than i wanted to but you all know how kids can take up your time. Not to mention i've been trying to get things ready for my oldest son's birthday party next weekend. Had hubbies birthday last week, he turned 42 and in may i turned 24. So i hope everyone's 4th of July went well. We had fun at the park watching fire works, the kids fell asleep so we took them home around 10:30pm but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Happy 4th of July everyone!! Tonight the kids and i will take a walk a few blocks away to the local park where there is always an awesome show that's put on by a lot of people that live around here. I'll take my camera and hopefully i'll get some great shots of the kids and of the fireworks. The family across the street will be going with their little girl too. It should be an awesome time just as it always is. Lets just hope that little Dawson doesnt get scared and freak out. He can sleep through anything so hopefully he will do just that during the fireworks. As a special treat for all of you i created a cute word art for all of your layout created for this wonderful day.

Layouts and new products!!

Ok so i have been busy with the kids this last week. Over at my mom's most days. My oldest has enjoyed the new sandbox and the freedom of being able to come and go as he pleases from the house to the yard. My youngest sleeps so much better when we are there, well, except for last night but that was an intestinal problem that was fixed today. Poor kid evidently got backed up and a bottle of nothing but water helped him today. He was in a much better mood after one heck of a smelly diaper! LOL My husband and i have been cooking dinner over there so that she didnt have to worry about it. We also have been whacking down weeds that have had the chance to grow wildly over the winter, with all the rain we were having till recently we couldnt hack them down till now. But yard is looking much better, still a work in progress. We plan on putting in a few more toys and a swing set for my oldest to play on, but that all has to wait till we get further along with the yard clean up. So last night we did a big bbq for dinner and used the treager grill for it. And YUMMY it was. Well i was in charge of flipping the switch back and forth between High and low so i toted my pc out there and was playing with photoshop and some actions. I created a new product thatgoes perfectly alone or with my new kit Boy Town. I'll show you sometime soon, I cant seem to upload it right now to the store.. its got to be having issues.

Now I have some layouts that i would love to share with you. These were a lot of fun creating.

These layouts are made using Natural Spring created by Inspired By Dominic Designs and JennCk Designs as well. In the layout above I used International Palms as my font for the date. The photo is of a friend and my oldest while at the Oregon Zoo walking through an area where the plants create an arch for the kids to walk through. Below, is a layout created with the same kit showcasing a photo of the neighbor girl in the rain with her pink umbrella.

I have one last layout to show you and it is made using A collab between Inspired By Dominic Designs and JayaPrem's Hangout, it's called Beth. I also used Inspired By Dominic Designs Vol. 1 of her break it down.

Layouts and a freebie again!!

so as some of you may know, i have dropped a lot of my responsibilities at Moo Two and because of that occasionally i get a little more time to myself. Sometimes with that time (usually the kids are asleep) I sometimes get to scrap layouts, other times i have to use it to catch up on chores or household stuff. Well, tonight my oldest fell asleep in the highchair while eating dinner, yep had to pick food out of his hand even! And finally my youngest fell asleep, he had been fighting it for several hours.
So, while my oldest slept on the floor on a blanket (yep we moved him) and my youngest snored away in their room I created 2 layouts for Dielle Designs, using her wonderful kit named "Bumbershoot" I just love that word! And it means Umbrella, so you can imagine that this kit is full of great rainy day items. Here is a great preview of it:

So here are my layouts:

This top layout shows a photo of my oldest playing in the rain at the Oregon Zoo with a little girl who was there. For the background paper I used papers from this kit but I overlay-ed them to create another paper that i felt would fit better with my photo, I also used another paper and created a clipping mask over the top of a frame shape for the frame. I used Fat Stack BB as my font for the date.

In the second layout, I wanted journaling but I also wanted 3 larger photos as well as word art, I placed my word art on top of a paper and then added my journaling one line (and occasionally one word) at a time to fit around the word art as well as the doodle, to fit in the space provided by the paper. I added the date and the names side ways on the edges of two layered papers. The journaling tells the story. It reads;

"At the Oregon Zoo we got trapped by the rain near the elephants. We had to wait for the rain to slow down to try to walk back to the car & go home. While we waited James couldnt hold back. He just had to run & jump in the puddles that were forming fast!"

As most of you have seen my "Boys Town" kit that was recently released I wanted to share a few layouts with you that were created using it. These are awesome inspiration.

First up we have 2 layouts created by Amy who is a wonderful gal that I share a CT with for Inspired by Dominic Designs and JayaPrem's Hangout as well. She offered to do some layouts for me when she saw This new kit, here are the layouts that she created.

Now we have a wonderful layout created by Kathy of Kathys scraps over at Digiscrapstation. She created this layout for one of my challenges using a photo she just recently took of her boys at the wedding of Timothy (the one standing in the middle). Congrats!!

Next up we have Karen M who is a wonderful CT at digiscrapstation who created a two page layout using the kit. It is showcasing the demolition event that occurred while doing a community service project for her local Camp Fire USA Council. (first layout is left side and second is right side)

Here is a look at some of my most recent layouts:

The First layout was created using a template from C. Princes it is a May Dayz challenge template. I added The tilted paper and I removed the journaling that was suggested on the template. Both layouts used the kit Adorable You created by JayaPrem's Hangout.

The last two layouts here are created with Inspired by Dominic Designs' Amazing kit Domimetric.

Layout share & Challenge #4!!

Layouts i made a few days ago that i just love.

I love these layouts! They are made using an amazing kit that is a digi duo between Jaya Prem's Hangout and Spinky Dink Designs; called Splish Splash.
The 1st layout uses the fonts, Hawaii Killer for the journaling on top and Stripes and bubbles for the rest of the text. While the 2nd layout uses Bubbleman for the journaling and the date is done in Charlemagna std. This 2nd layout is also featuring a template by Sidsy Marie (5pic template) while it is an awesome template i still felt it needed more so i added the lower left photo and framed it with the kit.

Due- June 14th

For this Challenge your assignment is to download this freebie that coordinates with the kit I released June 6th. This is one of my favorite kits that I have made in quite a long time. This freebie contains 4 Titles/word arts. You are to make a layout of your choice but to use at least one of these somewhere in it. You can use any kit by any designer and you can use templates or anything from anyone, just be sure to use one of these titles/word art.

Be sure to turn in your layouts from challenge one before midnight PST tonight.
So for this challenge I have something a little different for you. Here is a swatch that I would love for you to create a layout using these as the prominent colors. Yes, you can use other colors as accents but please keep these as the main colors. I should be able to look at your layout and know that you were using this swatch for your color scheme.You dont need to use all of the colors either.

Other than that you have free range! Just stick with these colors for your main colors and you’ll get another entry for the prizes!

Welcome to challenge #2! This time around we will be using a template to create a layout of your choice. You may flip, rotate or anything with this template, simply just use it. You may use any kit you wish, by any designer you wish. 1st trip to the dentist & More on the June Challenges!!!!

Yesterday was my oldest son's first trip to the dentist. He's 2 almost 3 (birthday in July). He did great! Hardly had any problems, mostly just whined and whimpered about it but didn't fight back!

Over all the dentist was proud of him and said his teeth are great. He has all of his baby teeth and should start losing them and getting adult teeth between around 6 years old. He has a great bite and great spacing not to leave out that his teeth are straight!

So for his good behavior he was given a pirate duck for the bath tub in which he replied,

"Pirate... ARRRR... Aye!"

On to the stuff im sure you all really care about, lol. The challenges for the Month of July.

I'm back!

Yep, im back, i was gone for a while because i had my second little boy. He was born on March 27th, 2010. Some might think he was small but in my family he is a large baby. He was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long.

My husband chose his name and decided on Dawson Robert Ray. He is a beautiful baby boy.

Unlike my First son, He's not a baby that needs his binkie all of the time, but he only has one that he likes lol. The green soothie's they give you at the hospital.

I was so happy that i managed to deliver him without any pain meds, I actually used the big tub they have there to help manage the pain and it worked wonders. Active labor (the painful part) only lasted 2 hours!

My oldest came to visit us that day along with my brother and my mom returned to the hospital with them.

Dawson did have to spend the next night in the hospital in the NICU area. He had to stay under the UV lights because he had jaundice.

Luckily it was only one night that he needed it. The reason for most of his jaundice was because he has A- blood and i have O+. Other than that the other leading contributor was because he was born so quickly, only 15 minutes of pushing.

A little while after Dawson's birth was Easter so we had to celebrate it for my oldest. Since we were at my mom's (the kids and i spent the first week at my mom's to help with adjustments), my younger brother decided he would be in charge of hiding the eggs, while my mom would help the easter bunny shop.

He got candies in his eggs and 2 take-a-long thomas and friends toys plus a set of trains and a few other things.

He had a blast!

Then just the other day we went over to my mom's for her birthday and after my oldest made a steppingstone for my mom he played in the dirt with some old tonka toys and managed to get filthy. Because he needed a bath and the weather was nice my parents decided to let him take a bath in the old jacuzzi tub they have outside.

Can we tell he had fun?

But so that is what i have been up to, i plan on getting back into the swing of things very soon so keep an eye out on my blog for the newest goodies from me.

We have a trike at hamma's house that we love to play with, we took it outside on this day and tried to figure out how to peddle but we weren't any good at that yet.

Jesse, daddy and I all went to the park the other day and he had a blast one the big kid slide! he climbed up high all on his own and loved going down!

I know i have been gone but im back... for the most part!

I have been gone due to lots of things in my personal life.
to name a few:
I had a breast reduction, it took almost a month before i could even hug my son!
My cousin had a 4 wheeler accident and ended up in a coma, he has just recently woken up but is still learning how to do things again.
I had a miscarriage in early July.

My husband and son have had birthdays this July.
I am now helping a friend out who doesn't have a job and has been kicked out of his moms, so he is living with bus until he finds a job and can move out or till he patches things up with his girlfriend who is moving back to Oregon.
I am also working with my mom and her dad on trying to get my papa (another grandpa) the help he needs as he ages, (the people who live with him aren't doing him any favors).

I have been creating and have some great products to show you.

What is a Speed Scrap?

At the scheduled time, which will be post below, the host will post the first instruction, of seven. The following instructions will be posted every ten minutes for one hour. After the last instruction is given, you have one more hour to complete your LO and upload it into our gallery.

Why do a Speed Scrap?
Besides the fact that they are tons of fun, it’s a great way to get you to do things you might not normally do with your scrap page. It gives us a chance to get to know each other during the wait for that next instruction, with all the chatter also.

Other info:
You will find the thread for each Speed Scrap listed in a separate post under this one. When you complete your LO, you will upload it to the Gallery under “Speed Scraps“, then come back to that nights speed scrap post, and link it to the gallery so that we can go in and see it!

Please refer to the "Speed Scrap Calendar below" to keep track of the scheduled Speed Scraps, or go to our calendar link and find them there.

yes it has been quite a while since i had the chance to post and i do plan on filling you in on all of what happened while i was gone.
So, the big reasons i haven't been posting.. simply put.. i couldn't :( My computer got a virus and the system had to be redone :( and then i had to download all of the programs i had before.. still trying to set things up like i was use to them.. sadly not much luck. But i am now in another store yep! that's right! i am now a designer at moo two designs!!!

This is the card my sister made for her husband! isn't it just too darn cute? (sorry about the poor photo quality I dont have a camera right now so we used my phone.) It's made with pre-folded card stock, an old envelope for the center paper and the paper strips, Crayola crayons, Crayola colored pencils, and embroidery floss for the string bow, a black ink pad for the inking around the edges, and some freebie stickers that she got mixed in with some junk mail, the adhesive used was some double sided tape dots that she baught at the dollar tree. Inside she wrote some very sweet words but asked me not to share them here. so next time you think about buying a card, why not dig out what you have at home, even if its not a lot, and piece together your own?
Lets try and recycle and reuse as much as we possibly can. Besides, gifts like these are far more special then the ones you can buy in the stores!

We named him Ball, He is a Blue Point Siamese!! Hes Beautiful. My camera is not working so the photo above of the cat is NOT Ball. Ball is much Cuter! i will try and get one up before too long.. its just hard not having a camera :(
I have 2 Lo's to share with you today. They are both for Scrappy Cats over at DSS. In both of these I used her Stitched Flourish Photoshop Action combined with the papers in her midnight moon kit to create the flourishes you see. The rest of the Lo is all of her Midnight Moon kit. I used her Glitter Shimmer Alpha for the lettering in both of the LO's and the word art in her kit.

The First Layout, Summer Time Stoll: One aged photo, looking down the ally but my friends house. Photo was take by Zach “Rantan” the overlay/frame was tempusfugit FotoOverlays, Fonts used: LiorahBT for first letters and JanieHmkBold for the rest
& the second Lo, The Path: Fonts: Word art from kit, Acid action used on the photo, one photo flowered branches lots of “white” space. This is a path near my friends house that is often taken by children… my friend Zach “Rantan” took this photo

This is an AWESOME kit! I made 2 pages with this kit and loved every minute of it! they were so quick and easy to put together! The first LO is Cross-Fire.. He's one of our dogs, these are from when he was just a pup.. this is also for the Ad challenge at DigiByDesign. The Font used was International Palms.
The second LO is of James, he's my sister's little boy.. he was over at my step-mom's Shop and she gave him Oreos! my sister took these photos and asked me to make her a page and she would make one of my son Jesse.. i'll post the one she did soon...
